Unit 3.3 - Budget Planner Outputs

How to access and interpret your ASK BOSCO® budget plans.

View Your Budget Plan

Once your budget plan is ready, you'll receive an email with a link to access it. You can also view all your budget plans at any time under the Budget Planner tab.

To open a specific budget plan, click View Details.

Overview

The top tile displays your key inputs — budget, target, and channels

...along with a high-level summary of results.

It also includes a visual representation of ASK BOSCO®’s recommended budget split across channels.

From this tile, you can download or share your budget plan.

ASK BOSCO® Results

This table includes three columns:

  • Optimized: Campaigns that have sufficient data variability and are currently active, making them eligible for optimization.

  • Non-optimized: Includes brand campaigns and others that don’t meet the criteria for optimization.

  • Total: A combined view of both optimized and non-optimized campaigns.

The rows vary depending on your selected target, but will always include Budget and a complementary metric (e.g., if your target is revenue, ROAS will be shown).

ASK BOSCO® Recommendation

This section outlines the suggested budget allocation across the channels you've entered into the planner. It also includes forecasts for your target metrics based on ASK BOSCO®’s predictive model.

As you move down the page more detail is provide at a Channel level and Campaign level.

Channels

This table presents a visual breakdown of the budget distribution across channels, comparing your current spend with ASK BOSCO®’s recommended spend.

It also shows the projected revenue change for each channel if the recommended budget adjustments are implemented.

Campaign Summary

This tile provides a snapshot of your campaigns, including the total number, how many are optimized, and how many require action (such as a budget increase or decrease).

Your Budget Plan

Below the overview, you’ll find Campaign changes explained.

CSV Output Download

Wherever you see the prompt to download you budget plan you can download your CSV to review the plan, as well as use it as the basis for uploading to any of the platforms.

There is minimal formatting in the CSV but you can quickly work with the document to review the full detail of your budget plan.

The first 4 columns explain the detail of the Channel, Campaign, whether the campaign is one to Optimise and the Action recommended.

Next each metric is grouped into

  • Optimal - what Budget Planner recommends
  • Historical - what that metric was in the period immediately before it has run eg last 30 days if you plan is a 30 day plan
  • Change - what is the difference between Optimal and Historical

This is where Account Managers should apply their context of the account to make a decision on what recommendations to apply. If you are happy with all or some elements of the plan you can use the output to upload to the relevant platforms.
