# Installing the App and Creating an Account
## Getting set up with the ASK BOSCO® Shopify app takes just a few minutes, and there's no separate account to create – your account is set up automatically when you install. This article covers installing the app from the Shopify App Store through to your first login.
### Installing from the Shopify App Store
1. Go to the ASK BOSCO® listing on the Shopify App Store.
2. Select **Install** (or **Add app**, depending on where you're installing from).
3. You'll be shown a permissions screen listing the store data ASK BOSCO® is requesting access to – this is generated by Shopify, not by us, so you can review exactly what's being requested before you approve it. We only ever request read access to the data needed to power your reports.
4. Select **Install app** to confirm.
That's it – there's no separate signup form, license key, or payment step to complete before you can get started.
### Your account is created automatically
Because the app installs directly into your Shopify admin, your ASK BOSCO® account is created automatically using your Shopify store's details – there's no separate email/password combination to set up. This is what we mean when we say your account creation is handled via Shopify OAuth: Shopify tells us who you are and confirms you've approved access, and we use that to set your account up behind the scenes.
### Logging in for the first time
Once installed, you'll land directly on your ASK BOSCO® homepage from within your Shopify admin – you're logged in automatically, using your existing Shopify session. There's no extra ASK BOSCO® login screen to get through on this first visit.
From here, you'll see your dashboard begin to populate. Some data may show as **Syncing** rather than **Live** for the first few hours while your historical Shopify data is pulled through – this is expected and resolves on its own.
### Logging in after the first time
On future visits, simply open the app from your Shopify admin's **Apps** section the same way you'd open any other installed app. Because it relies on your Shopify login rather than a separate ASK BOSCO® password, you won't be asked to sign in again as long as you're logged into Shopify.
### Managing your account afterward
Once installed, you can find your plan, billing details, and app settings from the app's **About** section in your Shopify admin, alongside every other app you've installed. We'll cover billing and plan changes in more detail in a separate article.
#### Good to know
- There's no separate ASK BOSCO® password to remember – access is controlled entirely through your Shopify login.
- Uninstalling and reinstalling the app doesn't create a second account; it reconnects you to your existing one.
### Troubleshooting
**I can't get past the permissions screen** This screen is generated by Shopify, not ASK BOSCO®. If it won't load or submit, it's usually a Shopify-side or browser issue – try refreshing, or installing from a different browser or device.
**The app installed, but my dashboard looks empty** This is expected right after install – give it a little time for your data to move from Syncing to Live. If it's been longer than 24 hours, get in touch with the team.
**I was logged out and can't get back in** Since login is tied to your Shopify session, log back into your Shopify admin first, then reopen the app from there.
