Updating Account Settings

In your Account settings there are changes you can make to your ASK BOSCO® account that will update how different modules act, based on your preference for each setting. Familiarizing yourself with how your account is set up will ensure that your ASK BOSCO® account is bespoke for you and meeting your needs.

You reach your settings by clicking on the client/brand logo in the top right hand corner and click 'Manage Settings'

Account Settings

Name

Starting off with naming conventions, you have the ability to update the name of your client and how it will appear in the navigation when you search for it.

Domain

Updating of the Domain URL is locked. This is the basis of your account and would change multiple things. Should you want to change this, please contact team@askbosco.io to discuss.

Country

The next update you can make to your account is the country in which you want the account to reflect. Updating this will change the currency that appears on your Summary and Budget Planner modules, 24 hours after you've made the change.

This will not update the currency available in reporting, should you want this changed please contact team@askbosco.io with the currency you would like to update your reports to display.

KPI

You also have the ability to update your KPI to any of the following:

  • ROAS
  • COS
  • CPA

This will affect which KPI will appear in the Summary Page for your Annual Performance and Website Performance reports.

Updating Competitor Settings

Here you have the ability to update which Competitors you would like to benchmark against in your Competitor Benchmarking module by adding or deleting Competitor URLs.

Deleting a Competitor

You can easily delete a competitor by clicking the bin icon on the side of the Competitor's URL.

A pop-up will appear asking you to confirm on if you want to remove the competitor, you can also cancel in this window.

In the example below, I've decided to delete a competitor from my Competitor Benchmarking table.

Deleting a Competitor

Be aware - by removing a competitor, all the historical data saved on their benchmarking will be deleted. Even if the competitor is added back in the future, it will restart with only the last 3 months of data - this is the same for all new additions.

Adding a new Competitor

By clicking Add New at the bottom of the screen, you can input the URL of a new competitor you would like to add.

Once you've entered the URL, click Add it will then be added to your list of competitors. To update this list you need to click Save Changes at the bottom of the screen.

In the example below, I've decided I want to add the competitor I removed in the previous example.

Updating Channel Settings

In the Channel Settings you can update the Click Source and Conversion Source for each channel available on ASK BOSCO®.

Changing Traffic Source

The Traffic Source of the channel is where ASK BOSCO® will define the traffic coming from, with "Clicks" coming direct from the respective platform of the channel. "Sessions" would be coming from Google Analytics 4.

You can change this by selecting the "Clicks" dropdown next to the channel you'd like to update and selecting the desired outcome.

Click "Save Channels" to save the changes you've made.

Changing Conversion Source

The Conversion Source of a channel is where ASK BOSCO® will define the conversions and revenue of a channel coming from. You can choose between "direct from platform" which would be direct from Google Ads if you're updating Google Ads, or you can choose "Google Analytics".

You can change this by selecting the "Datasource/Conversions" dropdown next to the channel you'd like to update and selecting the desired outcome.

Click "Save Channels" to save the changes you've made.

In the example below,  I want to change the conversion source of Meta Ads to be "Direct from Facebook".

Conversion Source

To avoid double counting of sales, it is advisable to set all of the options  to either 'Direct' or one data source. If you have any questions on this please speak to the Customer Success Team by emailing team@askbosco.io

Knowledge Check

An important thing to note is that changes made in Business Settings take 24 hours to update in your dashboard and almost all settings update the Summary, Budget Planner & Competitor Benchmarking, NOT Reporting. Please speak to the Customer Success Team if you are unsure about how your account is set up.
