Change Analysis in ASK BOSCO® AI Analyst
Change Analysis Explained
With ASK BOSCO® AI Analyst change analysis, you can compare any two data points in a visualization and identify key change drivers from the underlying attribute columns.
ASK BOSCO® AI Analyst change analysis compares data points of simple or complex
measures using these aggregates:
-
Sum – Adds up. For example, the total sales for each data point.
-
Count – how many things there are. For example, how many conversions were made on each data point.
-
Average – Looks at the average (or typical) value when looking at changes
-
Other 'versus' functions – These compare one thing to another to show the difference (the absolute change), like the increase or decrease in sales.
How to conduct a change analysis
Hold down Shift and click on two data points. Release Shift.
On one of the points right-click to get the pop-up menu and then select 'Run change analysis' from the the menu
The resulting change analysis provides a summary of insight for the attribute associated with the numbers selected - in the below example this shows Channel.
ASK BOSCO AI Analyst reviews all underlying attributes in the data set and provides results for some or all of them. Contextually not all attributes will be helpful when visualized and so you can select the one you want to view on the left hand side, or 'Customise attributes' to choose ones which do have the correct context.
Reading the results
Anything in Blue is considered a significant change, not the normal change you would expect from the data.
Changes in Grey are normal.
Scrolling down you can see the most significant change described in more detail.
